Moong dal or Green Gram Sundal

It is boring to take fried snacks or biscuits everyday at the evening. For a change lets make Moong dal sundal for Today's snack. It is our childhood snack we frequently take. Also it is one of the village home made snack.


Green gram - 1 cup
One onion -1
green chilli - 4
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Oil for seasoning
Salt for tast


Wash the Moong dal and pressure cook for 2 whistle along with 2 cups of water and little salt.
Switch off the flame after two whistle and cool down.
Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan. Once oil hot add mustard seeds and urad dal.
Once mustard start spluttering add chopped green chilli and fry it.
Add chopped onion once you feel the spice flavor of green chilli.
Add curry leaves and fry it.
Add this mix with the cooked Moong dal.
Now the tasty and healthy Moong dal Sundal is ready to serve.
