Spinach Puree - Western style

Its boring to make the spinach recipe with the lentils always. Lets try something different style of cooking spinach today. This is the very healthiest food. Can be served with rice and any kind of wheat breads or we can eat separately as well with little yogurt.

Let's see how to make now.

Ingredients:

Spinach - 1 bunch or pack.
All purpose flour - 1 tsp
Garlic pods - 5
Egg - 1
Red Chilli powder - 1 tsp
black Pepper powder - 1tsp
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Coriander powder - 1tsp
Whole Milk - 1 cup
Yogurt - 2tsp (optional)
Oil - 1tsp
Salt as required

Steps:

Wash the spinach thoroughly to remove the sand or soil.

Boil the spinach with just ½ cup of water for 1 or 2 minute.
Blend the cooked spinach to make the puree.
Heat a oil in a pan. Once oil hot add the all purpose flour and stir it. Once the flour turns into golden in color add spinach puree and stir it.
Then add all the spices which are in ingredients list, salt and stir it. Make sure to crush the garlic pods while adding.

After a minute add milk and bring to boil for 5 minutes.


Later crack the egg and add into it. Stir it until the egg white and yolk mix with the spinach. Cook for another 3 minutes.

Now the tasty spinach is ready to serve. Serve with the curd if just having spinach alone.
