Mushroom Masala

Mushroom masala recipe, a popular restaurant style Indian gravy curry served with chapathi. This recipe is pretty straight forward that is easy to make. Let's make this recipe.


Mushroom – 2 cup
Chopped onion – 1
Chopped tomato - 2
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Cinnamon stick – ½ inch
Green Cardamon – 3
Cloves – 3
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ¼ tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Salt for taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Oil for seasonings


Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan. Once oil hot, add ½ inch cinnamon, 3 green cardamon, 3 cloves. 

Leave it for 30 secs.
Then add 1 chopped onion and cook till translucent.

Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste and stir it. Add 1 spring of curry leaves and stir it.

After a minute, add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, ¼ tsp of garam masala, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, ½ tsp of cumin powder and stir it until the raw smell goes out.

Then add ½ cup of water and cook it.

Then add 2 cup of cubed mushroom and stir it.

Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
Then add 1 cup of water and close the lid and cook for another 4 minutes.
Finally, Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mix it.

Now the tasty mushroom masala is ready to serve.
