In the case of magnesium, iron, and zinc, the values are not very different between freshwater and marine fish. However, in the case of some freshwater fish, there was little variation in the values with some marine fish.

Magnesium: -

Magnesium in freshwater fish is 1.80 mg to 53.06 mg and in marine fish, it is 31.2 to 40.7 mg.

Zinc: -

Zinc is 0.21 to 4.53 mg in marine fish and 0.74 to 2.25 mg in freshwater fish.

Fish Oil:-

  • Fish oil is oil obtained from the tissues of oily fish.
  • Fish oils contain omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
  • Studies have shown that pelagic fish contain more fish oil than fish that live in the deep sea or lakes.
  • These are called pelagic fish species.
  • Pelagic fishes are species that live away from the bottom of the oceans or lakes.
  • This water is called the pelagic zone, which is away from the shore at the bottom of the ocean or lake.
  • Pelagic varieties contain the highest levels of EPA and DHA.

Omega-3 fatty acids: -
  • One of the most important nutrients is omega-3.
  • Omega 3 is a type of polyunsaturated fat.
  • They play an important role in the functioning and health of various parts and processes in the human body.
  • These include, in particular, brain health and heart health.
  • In fact, a significant proportion of brain and heart tissue contains omega-3.
  • Protects your immune system.
  • This is important for many more health benefits.
  • Fatty acids include alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), ecosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and tocosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
Omega-3 benefits:
  • Omega3 lower cholesterol
  • Omega3 reduce blood pressure
  • Omega3 reduces the risk of heart diseases
  • Omega3 help to prevent diabetes
  • Omega3 soothe the symptoms of rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Omega3 protect your brain
  • Omega3 keep your skin healthy
  • Omega3 are great for your eyes
  • Omega3 help to prevent cancer
  • Omega3 reduce the symptoms of PMS

Types of fish high in omega-3 fatty acids: -

Salmon

Tuna

Anchovies

Indian Mackerel
Barracuda
Sardine

Herring

Catfish

These types of fish contain far more omega-3 fatty acids than freshwater fish (except catfish).

Reasons why marine fish have more omega 3s than freshwater fish: -

Marine fish get more omega 3 fatty acids than freshwater fish by eating marine small fish, oysters, shrimp, seaweed, and other small fish.

Nutritional Differences: -

Picture: Tilapia
  • Freshwater fish and saltwater fish are very similar when it comes to their nutritional content.
  • However, there may be a small additional benefit from freshwater fish.
  • Marine fish do not absorb the surrounding sodium from the water.
  • Lake fish are generally higher in calcium and monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids than marine fish.
  • For fresh and saltwater fish, freshwater species are high in vitamin A and folate.

Mercury Differences: -

Picture: Red snapper

  • Few freshwater fish particularly cold-water fish contain healthy omega-3 fatty acids, as like marine fish.

  • Many lakes, rivers, and some seafood are high in contaminants, such as dioxins and polychlorinated biphenyls, which are found in fish meat.

Many people have questions about the level of mercury in freshwater fish.
  • Freshwater contains more mercury than saltwater, so it is natural to assume that freshwater fish contain more mercury. But it is not like that.
  • In freshwater, mercury is deposited on decomposed plants and animals. Sunlight breaks them easily. So even though water has some mercury content, it will not be present in fish.
Thorns: -

  • Marine fish have large spines.
  • Marine fish are less thorny and easier to eat.
Picture: Tilapia skeleton

Freshwater fish have a lot of small spines. (Except for the sardine) Patiently remove the thorns and eat them.

Both Marine fish and freshwater fish contain many important nutrients.

  • Eating fish is much healthier than eating mutton, beef, and chicken.
  • Can be eaten by all ages. Also, fish contains more protein, omega 3 fatty acids, and lots of minerals than other meats.

Durian fruit medicinal properties

There is so much controversy over Durian fruit in the farm auction run by the Tamil Nadu government every time. Durian fruit is the world's smelliest fruit and has a taste so sweet. This fruit is banned in many countries to sell and eat in public places due to its strong smell.

  • Originally in 1580, the name "Durian" is derived from the Malay word Duri(meaning "thorn"). The species name 'zibethinus' derives from the name of the civet (Viverra zibetha), known for its odor.
  • Durian is an edible fruit of the genus Durio. There are 30 recognized Duri species. Out of that, at least nine produce edible fruits. As of 1987, there are more than 300 listed varieties in Thailand and more than 100 in Malaysia. The only species available on the international market is the Durio Zybetinus. Other species are sold in their local areas. It is native to Borneo and Sumatra islands Indonesia.
  • Durian fruit is popular in Southeast Asia, where it has been nicknamed the "King of Fruits". The nutrients of durian fruit are higher than other fruits. Durian fruit has a naturally sweet taste.
  • Durian grows in tropical areas around the world, especially in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
  • The durian fruit can grow up to 1 foot (30 cm) long and 6 inches (15 cm) wide. Usually weighs 1 to 3 kilograms.
  • Durian fruit is rich in calcium, manganese, carotene, fat, iron, riboflavin, carbohydrates, copper, folic acid, vitamin C, fiber, zinc, niacin, protein, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium.
  • Raw durian is 65% water, 27% carbohydrates, 5% fat, and 1% protein. 100 g, raw or fresh frozen durian provides a moderate content of 33% of the daily value of thiamine and other B vitamins, vitamin C, and the dietary mineral manganese. Different types of durian are produced from Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. They contain 16-29% of carbohydrate, 2-5% of fat , 2-4% of protein , 1-4% of dietary fiber, and caloric value of -185 kcal per 100 g. The fatty acid composition of durian flesh is especially rich in oleic acid and palmitic acid.

Medicinal properties

  • The body is weakened by malnutrition and bad habits such as alcohol and smoking. For this, if they eat durian fruit twice a week, their body will get stronger. Increasing immunity.
  • Durian fruit juice prevents the spread of breast cancer cells. Durian fruit prevents heart disease. Fights infection.
  • Excess cholesterol builds up in the blood, causing blood clots and contaminating the blood. This fruit dissolves the fat and converts it into calories. It cleanses the blood and protects against heart-related diseases.
  • Men are less prone to infertility due to low sperm count. Durian fruit is capable of increasing the amount of sperm. So if you eat durian fruit, masculinity will increase.
  • Durian fruit can cure constipation. Stimulates digestive energy and causes a good appetite. Strengthens the optic nerves of the eyes. Protects the skin and brightens the skin.
  • Uncooked durian seeds are toxic due to cyclopropane fatty acids and should not be consumed. The young leaves and shoots of durian are occasionally cooked for a meal.
  • Petals of durian flowers are eaten in the province of North Sumatra in Indonesia and Sarawak in Malaysia. At the same time in the Moluccas islands, the husk of the durian fruit is used for smoking fish. The nectar and pollen of the durian flower that bees collect is an important source of honey.

Well, if you ask me why there is violence during this fruit auction in the state of Tamil Nadu, just for money.  If they win in the auction, "What they put is the price, what they put is the law".

Magi Noodles - Specialty of PR Crisis Management

What were the specialties of a Nestle Company PR Crisis Management, when Maggie Noodles was banned in India from 2015 to 2016?

Until 2014, Nestle controlled 75-80 percent of the noodle market in India. In 2014, the Gorakhpur Laboratory charged Nestle with three major reasons:
1. Noodles having 17ppm of lead instead of the allowed limit of 2.5ppm.
2. Maggie Noodles had "No added MSG (monosodium glutamate1)" printed on their pocket, which the study found to be false information.
3. The new product, Maggi Oats Masala, does not follow any standardization rules.

First, Nestle denied the allegations and appeared in court. In June 2015, the Delhi government banned Magi due to too much lead. After that, it was banned in Tamil Nadu. Then banned across India. Nestle did not expect such a disaster. Its stock market shares fell down. The trust that people had in it for 30 years collapsed. On matrimony sites, many girls used to update the profile that they know how to cook Maggie! Many who had those profiles got shocked. Many people started to protest against the ban. This includes married husbands also! Then Mumbai high court lifted the ban in 2016. In the intervening year, disaster management, done by Nestle, is a lesson in many business schools today.

So what did Nestle do? Nestle brought Suresh Narayanan to India, who was the head of the Nestle for Egypt and Philippines division. He had excellent skills in disaster management. On day two, 35,000 tons of Maggi noodles were removed from all stores and destroyed. They sought the help of public relations firm called APCO Worldwide. This is because Nestle's branding among the masses has become something to start from zero again. They worked as a separate team to clarify the doubts of customers who were deeply confused, to keep an eye on those who put rumors on Twitter and Facebook on social media.

"The only way to put out a social media fire is with social media water!"
        - Ramon DeLeon, Marketing Mind at Domino’s Pizza

Maggie's ads on TV were modified. In the advertisements for drinks like Complan, Horlicks, the mother of the child will always be sad and say "my son/daughter has never grown-up" and consult a doctor. The doctor prescribes the brand. Advertisers know better, so they will never use father for any of the advertisements. Mothers are the ones who have the decision-making power in any family on "Which grocery item should enter their kitchen?".  So in order to stimulate their feeling, there will be advertising tactics.

They divided their ads into three types:
Before banning: In a family, only the mother knows what is good and which is worse? what do they need? Maggie is part of the family. Maggie is just like how her kids are so important.

When banned: "I miss you so much!" Scenes like Bachelors and children screaming. Maggie is a promising ingredient! Mom and grandma confessing scenes. It is the same scene as Woodwards grape water.

When the ban was lifted: Children, moms, bachelor, hostel students, everything seemed to welcome Maggie back. This is called Mob Mentality. What is visible more is what people want!

Goats do not feel like goats until they leave the flock. During the Prohibition period, Nestl's competitors, especially ITC, Yippy Noodles captured a small market. If you ask me, I would say that Nestl's competitors are not much worth enough. What a precious opportunity! They should have worked out a lot. Who would buy if they name like Yippy? In the one year since the ban was lifted, Nestl has regained 65% of its market share. Maggie is now available all over India. Men are happy, women are double happy.

Different varieties of rice

Types

There are thousands of varieties of rice available in the world. All of these have not really been identified.

Species

Oryza sativa has grown in different parts of Asia between 8200 and 13500 years. Oryza glaberrima, which originated in Mali, Africa between 2,000 and 3000 years ago. Generally, these are the two different types of rice. The most widespread species in the world today is the Oryza sativa. This species can be further subdivided into three subdivisions. They are Oryza sativa Japonica, Orissa Sativa Javanica and Orissa sativa Indica. They all came from the same plant that grew on the banks of the Pearl River in China over a period of 13500 years. Oryza rufipogon, the mother plant of the genus Oryza Sativa, is still found in China.

Japonica and its subdivision Sinica are sticky short grains. Growing in drylands. Indica is cultivated in highlands and slightly cooler lands. Most of the Indica long-grain stalks are submerged in water. Cultivated in the lowlands of tropical Asia.

Some scientists classify Sativa as japonica, indica, glutinous, aromatica.

The African genus Oryza glaberrima is found only in West Africa. Glaberrima yields are low, rice is easy to shorten, but is resistant to insects and worms. Oryza barthii, is the original wild species of Globerima. It still grows in the forests of West Africa. Now they have mixed African rice and Indica to form new rice called New Africa.

There are more than 20 wildlife species in Oryza, but what we refer to as the Wild Rice is a completely different wild grass species, Zizania.

Black rice

Called black, but its true color is purple. Its purple color is due to a number of powerful antioxidants, such as anthocyanins. This is why it is said to be the number one rice in the world. Anthocyanins, also found in blueberries and blackberries, can remove free radicals that cause heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Reduces allergic reactions. Black rice contains six times more antioxidants than any other food grain. When viewed as a type of rice, only black rice contains these. Its main anti-inflammatory chemical, C3G, is a natural remedy for arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease.

Black rice is rich in vitamins, fiber, and minerals. Also makes you feel full when you eat it, which is ideal for weight loss. Working against insulin rejection is a natural defense against diabetes and obesity.

Wild Rice

In botanical terms, we cannot call this rice. It's a grass type. Wild rice contains proteins, manganese, magnesium, zinc, and phosphorus, which are good for strengthening muscle, bones, and ligament joints. Contains 30% fewer calories than brown rice. Contains more than 40% protein. Wild rice is the best food to keep control of the sugar level in the body. Substituting white rice with wild rice in the diet immediately reduces insulin rejection and lowers triglyceride levels. It is rich in magnesium, fiber, and other minerals which help the cataract to handle this glucose control mechanism effectively. Don't worry about obesity as it is low in calories

Brown Rice

It does not take much time to thresh the paddy so the brown rice keeps its bran intact. There are four types of brown rice. They are short, medium, long, and light brown. All brown rice has the same nutrition. However, their cooking time varies. Brown rice contains 4 times more magnesium than white rice. It also contains thiamine, zinc, and iron. Magnesium is important for the heart, bone, muscle, and brain. It is also more suitable for diabetics than white rice as it is faster to absorb in the body than white rice. It provides 88% of our daily manganese requirement and also helps in the production of collagen, healthy skin, joints, and ligaments.

Red Rice

Red rice contains anthocyanin-like antioxidants, although not as much as black rice. It is a guard against allergies, inflammation, and cancer. Controls premenstrual pain called PMS in women. It is also an ideal food for diabetics. The Chinese distill a liquid called Xuezhikang from red rice. It contains Monacolin K. Like lovastatin, it works to control LDL (bad) cholesterol.

Basmati Rice

Basmati rice is preferred by people with intestinal problems due to its tenderness. There are also niacin and thiamine. Athletes like it in their diet because of its high-quality carbohydrates

Jasmine rice

Unlike plain white rice, it contains niacin and iron.

Arborio rice

Arborio rice is grown only in Italy. This rice is the reason behind risotto foods creamy and delicious. Not too many nutrients in this rice. Not ideal for diabetics

White rice

Nothing special to say. Not ideal for diabetics

Glutinous sticky rice

Glutinous rice is low quality than white rice and is used for preparing DESSERT in Chinese restaurants.

Cauliflower rice

Cauliflower can be eaten like tice. It is also available in stores. Very rich in nutrients. But since it is actually not rice.
