Mint-Coriander Chutney

Lets make Mint-Coriander Chutney for Dosa. Everyone likes this chutney and its mouth watering. We just made this chutney to my friend's potluck and we got awesome feedback. Especially from the Americans. Almost became favorite for them.

Ingredients:

Mint leaves - 1 bunch
Coriander leaves - 1bunch
Tomato - 1
Onion - 1
Garlic - 4 pods
Ginger - ½ inch
Red chilli - 4
Tmarind - gooseberry size
Oil for fry and seasonings
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - Optional
Salt for taste

Steps:

Wash mint and coriander leaves thoroughly.

Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan. Once oil hot, add chopped onion and fry it until translucent.
Then add garlic pods, ginger, Red chilli, Tomato's and fry it.
Then add Washed mint and coriander leaves and fry it until it cooked. It will just take one minute.



Take out these fried mix into a mixer grinder and make it to a smooth paste.
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and urad dal. Use curry leaves if required. It will give more flavor.

Once mustard spluttering, add this with the ground chutney.

Now mouth watering Mint-Coriander chutney is ready to serve.
